Examinations and Promotions

Examinations and Promotions

  1. Examinations are held to test the level of understanding rather than testing the accumulation of knowledge.
  2. Examinations alone will not determine your IQ level and so EQ is also equally important.
  3. Two unit tests and two semester examinations will be held in an academic year. Besides these, class tests and assignments are also conducted and may carry weight age for promotion to next class.
  4. If a student falls to attend a test or examination without prior written permission, he/she will lose certain percentage of marks assigned to that test/ examination.
  5. Medical certificates, in case of sickness, must be submitted while the examination/test is going on and not later. It is left to the discretion of the principal to accept or reject such certificates.
  6. Pass mark is 50% for all the subjects. English is compulsory and students must pass in English to get promotion.
  7. No student will be allowed to sit in a class for more than two years.
  8. Any student caught using unfair means or trying to use unfair means in examinations or trying to tamper with evaluated answer scripts or report cards will lose promotion and may be asked to be withdrawn from the school.
  9. In all questions of promotion or failure. Principal's decision is final.
